Profile
Dr. Sylvie Plante is a researcher, educator and practitioner of Social Innovation, Collaboration, Organizational Development and Leadership. She contributes to the 脡lisabeth Bruy猫re School of Social Innovation as a Part-time Professor*, and partners with local community organizations to create work-integrated-learning activities that increase students鈥� awareness and participation in the Ottawa social sector.
As Doctor of Social Sciences (Royal Roads University), Sylvie researches the creation and use of social capital and boundary-spanning practices to facilitate innovation in cross-sector partnerships. Her writing has been awarded by the International Leadership Association and the Center for Creative Leadership. As an entrepreneur, Sylvie Plante leads a consulting practice serving the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
In 2026, Dr. Plante launched (CLIC), a community-based living lab affiliated with the 鈥� Research Center on Social Innovation and Transformation. CLIC creates opportunities for participatory action research into what makes equitable newcomer integration in Canada possible and sustainable.
