Presentation
The Catholic Church is invited these days to 鈥渋mplement鈥 the vision and directives of the 2024 Final Document of the 鈥淪ynod on Synodality.鈥 This webinar will display the Synod鈥檚 teachings about synodality in the life and mission of the Church. It will discuss the Synod鈥檚 explanation of purpose of pastoral councils (diocesan and pastoral), and it will explore concepts fundamental and essential to the 鈥渟ynodal style鈥 of the functioning of pastoral councils. Attention will be given to the Synod鈥檚 directives concerning discernment in decision-making; differentiated co-responsibility in leadership; the important service of consultation in Church life; and the necessity of transparency, accountability, and evaluation in the operation of pastoral councils.
